Each tool returns a number with a context — not just a formula.

Your data stays local

All computation runs in your browser. No data sent anywhere.

Works on any device

Mobile-friendly layout. Use them on the warehouse floor if needed.

Method pages included

Each tool explains what it's good for, what it isn't, and how to interpret.

All 24 inventory tools

Grouped by what you actually use them for. Every link opens a standalone page.

How to use these tools

A practical order, if this is your first time.

1

Know your numbers first

Run Inventory Turnover and Carrying Cost on your last 12 months. You need accurate demand, COGS and inventory value before any of the rest makes sense.

2

Decide what to stock differently

Use ABC Analysis on revenue, then on margin. The intersection tells you which SKUs actually deserve your attention.

3

Set the policy

Roll EOQ, Reorder Point and Safety Stock into something your team can actually follow. Test for 90 days.

Why ShelfIQ exists

Most inventory tools online either oversimplify to the point of being wrong, or push you into a free trial of an enterprise platform. ShelfIQ is the middle ground — a defensible number with the assumptions stated and the limits called out.

Original commentary

Each tool page is written from operator experience. We don't rewrite textbook formulas; we say what they get wrong in practice.

No tracking, no accounts

Calculations run entirely in your browser. We do not collect the numbers you enter. See our Privacy Policy.

Honest about limits

Every tool has a "What it doesn't do" section. We don't pretend a calculator can replace your ERP.

Multi-criteria where it counts

The unique additions (discount-tier EOQ, 3-method safety stock, 5-component carrying cost) are what we wish had existed when we ran warehouses ourselves.
